Get Your Livefyre Commenting System Walk-through

Livefyre Commenting System

Here at For Bloggers, By Bloggers, we have talked a lot about Livefyre, our preferred commenting system.  And we proudly use it here on this blog.

If you compare Livefyre to the WordPress vanilla commenting system, social sharing and realtime conversations are only two of the reasons to use Livefyre to turn your readers and commenters into a community.

Here are some more benefits, including a few that no other commenting system has. With Livefyre, you can:

  • stream in  Facebook and Twitter conversations about your post directly to your blog
  • tag your friends inn a comment to bring them into the conversation and further engage the community
  • not only sign in through your free Livefyre account and with other platforms, but now you can sign in as a guest, which allows you to comment as easily as the default WordPress commenting system.
  • easily share comments with your friends on other social networks, which brings even more traffic to your blog.

I sat down recently with Jeremy Hicks, Community Manager at Livefyre, to ask him a few questions about how to get the most out of Livefyre.  Here is the video, straight from the horse’s mouth.

Have you seem the v3 comments that Livefyre have in beta?

@Social-Media-Adam We were testing it here, but there were a few glitches, so went back to 3.17 until the beta version moves to production release. But agree, very slick.

This looks pretty much the same as disqus commenting system. What is the benefit of switching from disqus?

  • franzfunky

Real Time Commenting the reason I should switch?

    • http://www.bobwp.com/ bobWP

@franzfunky That depends on your blog and how you want to build your community.
