Why Screencast-o-matic is Perfect for Bloggers and Video Screencasts

A couple of weeks back, I wrote a post asking what you, the readers, would like to see more of here at For Bloggers By Bloggers.

After all, while we’ll (hopefully) continue to provide content that you find useful, getting your needs straight from you makes even more sense!

There were some great requests, and we’ll be going through them in the coming weeks – but there was one that popped up a few times, and that was video blogging.

While video blogging can take many shapes and forms, the one I’m going to look at today is video blogging when it involves screencasts. Screencasts are great, since they can be used as educational tools, special promotions, tips and tricks and much more.

There are a host of great screencasting options around, but one I really like is Screencast-o-matic.com.

It’s easy; inexpensive (there’s also a free version); versatile; and offers great high-definition recording too. To give you an idea of what Screencast-o-matic offers, here’s a quick video overview of the service.

As you can see, it’s a really straightforward platform, and one that won’t break the bank either – which is always nice!

If you’re on a Mac, there’s nothing better than ScreenFlow IMO. Reasonably prized, and awesome capabilities.
